Day 1
Arrival & Tarangire National Park
The safari begins with your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and a transfer to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, you will immediately embark on a game drive, focusing on the scenic river and vast open woodlands known for giant baobab trees and enormous elephant herds. This provides a spectacular introduction to the Tanzanian wilderness. After a full day of game viewing, you will exit the park and drive to the nearby Karatu area for your overnight stay near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
